Games with Gold Review September

So I thought it was about time I talked more about games, I love games and love talking about them problem is there isn’t really been anything big out to talk about recently. Well you know apart from Destiny but let’s be honest I bet your starting to get sick of hearing about it by now aren’t you? but if you really want my opinion here it is. “Good game but doesn’t live up to all the hype and starting to regret spending the extra £35 for the expansion pack.” There now that’s out the way lets talk about Games With Gold we had this past month.

Monaco: Whats Yours Is Mine.

So here we have a very lively little game that has you breaking out of prison and embarking on the heist to end all heist’s. It is so bright and colourful fast and vibrant it’s so full of charm that its hard not to like and fall in love with. Now I’m not going to lie here but when I first played it i didn’t like it. I was playing it alone and found it tedious, I loved the art style and look but found the game a tad boring.  But then i played it with some friends and that’s when the game came to life. It is so much fun to play with other people everybody having to work as a team to have any chance of succeeding. So i guess what I’m saying here is if you wanna have fun get your buddies round. I call the locksmith!

halo-reach

Halo Reach

Ah Bungies swan song in the Halo Franchise before handing it over to 343 studios. This is a prequel to the Master Chief Halo games and has you taking control of a rookie Spartan instead of the indestructible John-117. Reach has a solid story a great single player campaign and my personal favorite multiplayer experience of all the games I have played so far. So getting this game has made me really quite happy. (It means i can trade in my copy of the game and get about £3 in my pocket. Shh don’t tell the big company’s I said that.”

Crimson Dragon

And for the I’m getting out sold by the Ps4, all because of quite possibly the worst marketing campaign ever Xbox one we have Crimson Dragon. Now i can say that i have never liked the whole rail shooter game I will have to admit that it looks nice, not the ground breaking next-gen graphics we have been hearing so much about but nice. The controls are a tad sluggish but not terrible. The music is extremely  forgettable and it becomes really repetitive and boring if you play for any length of time. actually the more i think about it there is a chance I don’t actually like this game. Hmm will need to ponder on this for a while.

super time force

Super Time Force

Well what is there to say about Super Time Force? If you don’t like dying you shouldn’t play because you will die…allot. But that’s OK because we can control time so what happens is you die rewind time and try again but this time with a little shadow of your previous attempt to help you. I really quite like this game and its simple 8bit style (by the way does anybody actually know what a bit is?) my biggest problem was the music I quickly found myself muting the in-game music and putting on music to listen to as a played.

So all in all I would say that this month was quite good only really disliked one game and a part of another. Strange tho that it was the Xbox Ones offerings that made me unhappy isn’t it? Going to need to start offering some better games for their new baby if there going to want to keep impressing, and with their next offering being Chariot for the Xbox One they are taking another gamble. But then again they are giving us  Bad Company 2 and Darksiders 2 for the 360 the first time in ages that I will get all new games I haven’t played before so I have my fingers crossed.
